As a prompt to keep artistically motivated and creative without too much time commitment, my textile art group challenge ourselves each month to create a piece of cloth. The only stipulation is that it needs to have 3 things creatively applied to it. This can be anything from stamping or dyeing to overlaying 3 different colours. The idea is to create a base fabric, not a finished art piece.
Inspiration for this challenge came from The Printed Fabric Bee
I started with a khaki green base fabric and used a feather stencil and acrylic inks applied lightly with a sponge.
Next I lightly splattered wet intense block ink over the base.
And finally I used a webbing spray in Bronze
I have no idea what I will use the fabric for… Its The creating that is the fun part!
